Went to bed early. Got up early (03h48), but clear sky not easily determined from the city. Drove a few kilometres east, but cloud layers evident.
Returned to check Canadian weather satellite images, to check possibilities but, though it looked promising, light layers of cloud still seemed to be progressing across the region.
The 50,000-year comet will have to wait… or, more realistically, I will have to wait.
