Lookin’ good for some Baywalk Astronomy tonight, Wednesday, in Summerside.
Starting about 9:30, members of ACAC will have some telescopes on the Baywalk, by the Shipyard building, and can answer some astronomy questions as well as providing the opportunity to get a “closer” look at some sky stuff.
The summer friends of recent years – Jupiter and Saturn – are not available at this time of year, but will probably be available later in summer or early autumn, so we’ll have to come up with other sights that might be available under city lighting conditions… the Moon, for example, shouldn’t be appearing too late.
Keep an eye on the skies Wednesday nights: if clear – really cloudless – and not much wind, the Baywalk is a reasonable locale for viewing: not perfect, but a good start for interested folk and ACAC members will try to be available to make it happen.
