Hello, Wednesday morning!
Well, the clouds appear to be lightening up, somewhat, which heightens anticipation of the ACAC Wednesday evening public astronomy sessions being able to present once again… but CBC Radio One meteorology contact, Tina Simpkin, warns that we are in a tropical air mass flow, and there are chances of showers this afternoon and evening: 10-20mm, in the forecast.
It is, therefore, unlikely that there will be public astronomy viewing on the Summerside Baywalk this evening. this evening, July 5.
Some years provide more opportunity than other years. The hosts of the Public Astronomy Viewing sessions are considering a more flexible schedule, but that would affect the benefit that is provided – for both sides of the equation – from humans’ habit-forming nature and other promotional efforts.
So, until timing is perfected, or we get AI to control the weather, just keep an eye, or both eyes, on the skies in anticipation of Wednesday-evening public astronomy opportunities over the summer.
Hey, we’re on the way to winter, and the evenings will be getting noticeably shorter by the end of July, meaning better chance of viewing before the efforts of one’s day force one into much-welcomed sleep!
